The light at the end of the tunnel
The granite monolith entitled "Durchstich" was created by Fritz Koenig as a foundation stone sculpture for the Landshut Hofberg Tunnel, but could not be placed in the originally intended location for technical reasons. The monumental granite slab was hollowed out conically from both sides and pierced in the center. This is reminiscent of drilling through a mountain during tunnel construction.
